Default Best place to mount the fan control switch

Hey guys I was wondering where some of you guys mounted your slp fan switch
in you car. Also any tricks on getting the wires through the firewall?

I'm gonna mount mine in the ashtray I think once I get around to making the plate. The switch is kind of tall though, so it may have to go somewhere else.

As for the wires, I would run it through the rubber grommet behind the PCM. Remove the pcm and there is a hole right there. Go inside the car and remove the passenger side kick panel and you should see the same hole.

You beat me to it. Even though this is a write up for a shift light, it explains and shows exactly how to run those wires through the rubber grommet.

I put mine in the ash tray. I liked the option to hide the switch. If you drill into something else, you'll have a visible hole to cover up a hole if you ever take it back out.

Yours is manual. Use that little blank button beside the fog light switch. An auto would have the traction contol sqwitch there.

Manual transmission cars also had the option of traction control.

Mine doesn't. Every auto I've ever seen has it (aside from v6 models) and I've never seen an m6 with it.

I've never seen a GT/Cobra mustang with traction control and manual. But I've seen alot of auto GTs with traction control.

I figured traction control just didn't come on manuals.......oh well.

Made a plate to take place of the TCS filler unit, to hold the switch, and then some. Here are a few different styles that were put together with plate.

Do those fans help at all? I was given one and I'm deciding whether to install it or not.
