Default Which HEADERS give you the most power for LS1 Camaros

I was just wondering what headers. Have the best gains in the 1/4 and most power gains?

All headers of the same length are going to make about the same power (longtubes makeing the most power, then mid-lengths, then shortys)

Most of what people pay for is: high quality, good fitment, and the materiel theyre made out of.

Pacesetters are the bang for the buck leader, but there are headers out there that make more power, you just have to ask yourself if its worth spending the money for a 5-10hp gain.

Exhaust gains are all about the free-flowing-ness of the pipes. The larger the pipes and the smoother the bends is what gives them the free-flowing ability (this is the logic behind true dual exhaust). For headers, the larger the outlet pipes and larger collector will provide the biggest HP gains. LT will be the best bet unless you wanna go with off-road racing headers (not street legal).

I don't know about HP gains, but with a lid, TD's and Pacestters, I dropped .7 seconds and gained 5 MPH. My other mods were done after the 12.98 run. That's good enough for me.

A set of Kooks or the Supermaxxs seem to be about the best for the F-Bodies. Though quite expensive, the people that shell out the cash seem to like them.

Headers with a hole to that needs a fan plug

Kooks and QTP seem to pick up most from just putting them on.

you'll get a very good gain from SLP headers... but the high cost and the horrible design should be enough for you not to buy them.

not to mention the ground clearance. 30 is a good estimate for the pacesetters after a tune. I love mine, definatley recommend them.

actually it's more about exhaust scavenging than anything. longtubes make more power than shorties not because they flow better but because the extra tubing increases exhaust velocity better.

QTP's with HVMC will probably give you the best power, but like was said earlier, is double the price of pacesetters worth 5 hp? they ARE stainless though

If money wasn't an option I would go with the QTP HVMCs, second would be Kooks. I have Pacesetters now and have been very happy with them so far. I went from 321/331 with only a lid to the LTs, ory, Hooker catback, and tune and I am now at 354/373.
