Default Magnaflow tailpipes ugly

Is it just me or does anybody else think the Magnaflow system pipes are ugly on Firebird/TA? I guess I have grown accustomed to the Firehawk split exit pipes.

I have a set of Dynatech headers on the way and can't decide if I should go with the Magnaflow or leave the SLP Hawk system on. I am looking to the future and considering the non-availability of SLP parts for the Hawks and SS's. Based on that I would like to keep the stock system put away for afuture return to stock or maybe buy another SLP system since they are marked down to $299 right now. I could just leave it boxed and put away. OR, I could get the Magnaflow and put away the stock system when I take it off.

I am not overly interested in an exhaust that drones on the road but a little roar would be good. Hell, I wouldn't mind if it made little kids cry when I rev it!!!!

Yea, thats the only bad thing about a magnaflow is the hidious tips, thats the reason my Z doenst have that catback yet, and it might be a little on the quite side, but thats good for sneaking to the G/F's house at 3 am HAHA. Anway, I would have to agree the dual/dual look is the way to go, magnaflow would be smart to offer some corsa looking tips on theirs, I would order today!

I love the Magnaflow tips. I'm a hater of the dual/dual on a Camaro, but they do look better on a Firebird.

Not a fan of the large single tips either. I prefer the dual/dual style anyday.

Me I think they just don't look quite right but I do like the two single tips I have that myself and rather it dual dual looks too stockish to me.

I would say it looks better on T/As.

I like the SLP dual dual tips. Where is it marked down to 299? I would pick a system for that price.

Magnaflow tips look great if you have chromed wheels. They compliment the look because they are a mirror finish. Otherwise I don't think they fit the car.

There is a guy on here, Oxidizer I beleive, who I think works for Magnaflow and posted a while ago that they were making new replacement tips, but I haven't heard anything in a few weeks.

I hate the dual/dual look. I much prefer the Magnaflow tips. But I chose no tips at all.

I made a post a while back about the exhaust Oxidizr built for me, Magnaflow is coming out with some new dual tips for their catbacks.

Here's the thread :

I pulled off the large tips that magnaflow sends with them. I ordered a set of their oval tips they sell and installed them and it looks way better and got rid of the drone it had around seventy.

I definitely dig the magnaflow tips on a Camaro, but not so much on a T/A.
