Default oil cooler

anyone make an oil cooler for the LS1? How much of a pain is it to install?

Depends on your setup. Since you have LTs, you will need to remotely mount the oil filter as well. You could probably get away with a sandwich adapter if you had stock exhaust, although the stock-length filter would probably hang a bit too low.

Try this setup - http://www.xse.com/leres/ss/oilcooler.html . If you don't have the SLP CAI or some other ram air plenum in front of your radiator, this should work. If I put one on my car, I'd probably copy this.

my 6.0 came with lines and the adapter that bolt onto the oil pan rear drivers side(where conversion guys tap into for oil press senders on ls1's) the lines went up to an in rad cooler (like an auto tranny cooler but on the other side) i'm probably going to run the cooler lines to an external cooler.
