Default engine coolant?

i have a 98 z28 camaro and after about 20-30 minutes of just riding around a red light with a down arrow on wavy lines appears right top of my tach. i beleive it is the low coolant light but i dont have a manual so im not sure. if it were the low coolant and say all my fluids are fine, what could be the problem? temp on water guage stays <210F

Alot of times the sensor is defective, so if the coolant level is indeed correct, then you can either clean or replace the sensor, or just disconnect it

It's right below the fill cap, a few inches down. It's got an electrical weathertight connector plugged into it. You can simply unplug it, and zip-tie it somewhere to turn the "low coolant" light off.

The sensors are notorious for crapping out, they were actually discontinued in the later years. You CAN remove the sensor from the radiator and try to clean it, but you'll probably have no luck.
