Default Will tune get me past sniffer test.

Hi
Installed MAC Headers and cat Y pipe. Sent HC over limit. Will a tune get me through the sniffer test?

Thanks JA

A tune should get you there. If you need to, tell the tuner to tune it WAY lean, then take the test, then go back and have it tuned properly.

HC is a result of too rich, a tune should cure that problem
BTW don't go too lean, you'll get the combustion too hot, and bump up the NOX

Hi

I am not an expert but it seems to me that the headers make it lean. Then when the computer is recalibrating the fuel trims it ends up rich. Why not disconnect/reconnect the battery just before the test. That way the fuel trim will return to the default settings for the test. Does this make any sense?

Thanks JA
