Default headers and y pipe will it be a big diff

So I have a borla cat back, and my engine is stock except for a k n lid. I was wondering if headers and a y pipe would make a big difference. I figured they are pretty expensive to do so if it doesn't make a big difference its not really worth. If I could get a definite 30 hp to the crank then it is worth it, even if it is only 20 hp to the wheels.

Definatly worth it. Try running a search over what you're wondering about before you start a thread. It helps everybody (including yourself) out tremendously. The more new threads pop up, the less attention we can give to the threads that have problems they can't answer. You will also find the answer faster than you could type out that post in most cases.

I've been searching/reading 3 forums researching my new shocks/springs setup.

I noticed a decent SOTP difference after 2500 RPMs. It seemed to pull a bit harder, especially at WOT. I also noticed a really nice improvment in throttle response. The performance increase isn't that much, but it is very noticable.

Headers are a great mod. Just make sure you go long tube. Stainless steel if you have the money.

You should make some good power. My brother' s car put down 327 / 350 RWHP / RWTQ, with a lid, and Borla. Both are A4s, and with the same lid, Borla, and QTP HVMCs, with a catd' y-pipe, I just got 359 / 371 with a tune, and no other changes. This is with the converter locked, but his was locked too. With MACs, my car made 334/355, with a crappy canned custom tune, and 354 / 360 with a tune and the standard QTPs. I think your choice is good, and if you keep cats' on it, rasp will be minimized. Heck, running the Borla closed still sounds good;
