On the back of my 98 ls1 intake ive got two ports on it. Larger one is for the brake booster but what is the little one next to it for?

It goes to a the trap door in the A/C system to help open/close it. This is why you hear that pshhhhhh sound when you adjust it. I think it has a T-fitting and one side goes to a vacuum canister. This just offers a little volume for the air to rush into instead of making your motor stumble.

The newer cars had this line also plummed into the AIR system to accuate a valve from what I've gathered.
