Glasspacks sound goof until they get a lot of miles on them and get coated with carbon build up and the fiberglass starts to blow out of them. Bullet mufflers are a far better choice since they use stainless steel wool matting. I also like cambered mufflers but theyre not for everybody.

exactly!!! I had glasspacks on my 1979 Ford Bronco. Sounded awesome on that. But if i were you i would go with some brand of bullet mufflers or flowmaster 1 chambers. It just takes away a little bit of that "redneck" sound.

If I was dead set on using some kind of glasspack/bullet, I'd most definitely use this:

Fully stainless steel.

From what I was told by a local exhaust shop, is that the glass packs are very restrictive. They do not flow well.

not crazy about glasspacks, if you want mufflers for a dual setup get magnaflow eiher rounds mufflers or 4x9s... i have sweet thunder chambered mufflers now and it is incredibly loud, i'm sellin the setup and getting an off road y pipe and hooker catback with a cutout.

quite ignorant to say something like that. I have a V6 with nothing more than a lid and flowmaster (of all exhausts lol) that went 14.6's That's no LS1 to be sure, but it took out a few hotshots with stock, poorly driven LT1's at the strip. So, they're not ALL garbage...

If you want a car that sounds like *** and screams "redneck," then glasspacks are definitely for you.
