Default What is the difference?

Between

Edelbrock - Headers
1998-02 Camaro/Firebird with 5.7L LS1, slip-on merge collector
(1-3/4", stepped to 1-7/8", 3-1/2" collector, mild steel)

and

Edelbrock - Headers
2000-02 Camaro/Firebird with LS1, fully welded
(1-3/4", stepped to 1-7/8", 3-1/2" collector, mild steel)

they both seem like they can go with my firehawk

the difference is one of them they have already welded the collector for you, and the other one you can tune your exhaust and weld the collector where you want it
"Headers with slip-on merge collector feature an expansion cone on the exit of the collector. The slip-on design allows for tuning the primary tube lengths to individual engine requirements"

its not a must but if you want all the extra hp's you can get a tune would be good. unless you plan on adding more mods here in the near future(few months) then id wait.

Go with the welded collectors, I think a slip joint will leak before a welded slip joint will leak.

Tuning will help get the most out of your money, and take care of SES lights. Check out the AIR/EGR/Rear O2 sticky.
