Default Alternator U/D Pulley

I've got an alternator underdrive pulley laying around and I was wondering if I would gain anything with it alone. Thanks for any input.

eh, I would proably just go with the crank pulley. that's where you will see the most gains.

Well you see, I don't have the crank pulley. I've got an u/d pulley set for the 4.3 V6 that came out of my truck. I believe the alt. pulley will work on my LS1. It's just going to waste so I was wondering how much, if any, it would help.

Probably none. Unlike the water pump and power steering, the alternator doesn't use less power if driven slower because the voltage regulator controls the load. The only possible gain you'd see is the alternator internals wouldn't have to spin up as fast when you rev but you'd probably never notice.
