Default ported LS2 intake questions

ok ive done research on this and from what i read a stock ls2 intake sucks. but ive seen it mentioned several places here as well as on another board that a ported one flows as good or better than a ported fast. it was said that a sponsor posted that but i cant find any information to back that up at all.

also what exactly IS the restriction? some say its from being produced that pieces dont line up. any pics that i can see to show this?

any help would be great.

I pm'ed the sponsor about a year ago asking about the ported LS2 intake. He told me that they port LS2 intakes and they outflowed PORTED FAST intakes.

Dont hold me to it but Im wantingh to think it was somebody at Racetech but I could be wrong.

No. All he said was that out of the box the LS2 wasnt that great but once they removed whatever material they needed it from whatever part of the manifold that it outflowed a FAST. That was a ported fast. Had dyno numbers to back it up and all.

Hey bud, try posting this in the LS2-LS7 section. It will get more views from people that would know. I am very interested in this as well as the Fast pieces are way too pricey to gain 10-15whp.
