Whole neck is how the stocker comes off.

can you seperate the stat from the housing so i could just go get the stat or do
i have to order the neck and stat as one piece... any way of modding
the old stat to 160 , via cutting spring alittle or drill couple of holes in the stocker
and stead of buying the neck and stat at 50 $$$$$............

Don't thermo wear out eventually anyway? It really isn't a bad idea just to buy a new one, I mean imagine if you accidently cut to much and the thing kept the engine at 140 degrees. That could be bad since the stocker is around 192 degrees.

I mean I know you can seperate the stat from the housing but I haven't seen a place yet that sells just a stat without the housing.

i ithink i;ve seen thermostats without the neck, i think the hypertech ones come like that.

yeah check afterthoughts auto and places like that , they come without the necks
