Default Install cats in Hooker Y Pipe?

How hard would it be to weld in some high flow cats in to a hooker Y Pipe? Would it be better to do this and get the hooker coated headers, or would it be better just to breakdown and get a complete kit like FLP? Let me know your opinions. Any type of LTs you can recommend that come in a complete kit besides FLP? Thanks again!

Default Re: Install cats in Hooker Y Pipe?

From what I understand this has been tried and no-can-do. I believe the straight sections of the Hooker/Jet Hot offroad y-pipes are too short, and/or the clearance from the floorpan is too tight. Then again, maybe the new, smaller Random Tech metallic bullet cats might fit. Don't know if anyone has tried them yet. They're pricey (like $250 apiece). <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" />
