Help with ls6 swap
Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to swap ls1 to ls6 intakes?. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined but the istructions that came with the unit(from slp w/ egr) is completely foreign to me. I even printed up the how to from here. I don't think I can do it. If I were to pay a profressional to do it, what would it cost me ?. I'm getting desperate, You guys sound like you know what you are talking about so any advise would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe.

How long did it take you? do you recommend having having someone help or can I do it if I take my time. What was the pain in the *** factor from 1-10?

It's a snap, just have to take your time. LS1howto will show you exactly how to do it. Be carefull when lifting it off, as the brake booster hose goes behind the oil pressure sending unit and they love to snap off. No big deal if you break it, just trying to save you the $30.
You just need a set of metric sockets/extensions (preferably 1/4" drive), few screwdrivers, fuel line disconnector tool (like $1 from an autoparts store), and a 6-pack.
If you get in a bind, we can help you out.

A shop will charge about $150. You can do it yourself in about an hour or two. Get a friend to help guide the brake booster line over the sensor on the back of the block. It is an easy job.
