Default MAFT

What exactly is a MAF Translator. Where does it mount, what does it do, and about how much would I expect to pay for one.

Default Re: MAFT

a MAFT mounts between the maf and the pcm and allows you to adjust the air/fuel mixture

If you have made modifications that affect your air fuel ratio, such as intake mods an MAFT will allow you to make general adjustments, leaner or richer. You can make adjustments to your base(general cruising) and wot(pedal to the metal driving). They are less than $200 and a few of LS1.com sponsors sell them. It is certainly cheaper than getting professional programming but it is useless without a diagnostic tool like Autotap to monitor the changes you make. I've had one for two years and am very satisfied with it.
