Default Just installed my Bauer ported TB

I have to say that this is one of the most rewarding mods I've done to the SS. It gives instant gratification and was a piece of cake to install. After putting on my chrome 17x11's and Dunlop SP8000's (very heavy tires) the SS was running a bit slow (2/10ths slower in the 1/4). With the addition of the Bauer TB, I'm sure the #'s will be back to normal.

Thanks to Bret for providing a great product at a great price. Bang for the buck...this has got to be one of the best mods. Just thought I'd share for all the guys on the fence about getting one.

Dave,

Glad you like it. You sure you don't need 4 more TB's for the other one in the garage? Interesting mix of cars!

Yeah, it's a great mod and it sounds good too. Throttle response is crisper and she really pulls hard at WOT. Looks cool too! Thanks Bret, for a great job.
Roland.

Sorry, my camera is out of whack and I was unable to take any pics. I can tell you that I sanded &buffed the TB for a good 5 hours before installation, so in addition to performing so well, it also looks the part. I'll have updated pics for the sig soon. Bret do you make TB's for anything else besides the LS series motors?

So do you have any of these beautiful TB's in house that you sell with a core charge. Until the factory TB is shipped back to you? Unfortunately my SS is my daily driver which means I couldn't send you my TB MTI ported mine already, but nothing like what yours look like.

I'm in the same situation. My Firehawk is my only car so my car can't be down for anything more than a day or two if that. How long does it take for a turnaround on a TB without the powdercoating?

Thanks

I offer a version that is cleaned up and ready to polish if that is what you want. The cost more me to polish the outside is not really reasonable since I would rather spend my time getting people there TB back to them.

I know the TB's on your other car are VW units and they are usually Drive By Wire, and there is not much you can do to them. The GM 75mm unit is on alot of applications and leaves alot to be desired. That and the fact that the 75mm hole in the intake is the other end of the problem.

As to the other Q's

I do have some cores, but I need a core to come back to me that is un touched in some areas. A drilled out throttle plate is useless to me since you can't just replace a throttle plate easy. You can also buy a brand new GM one from my supplier, for a reasonable amount. That or you can look for one on the board or Ebay. E-mail me and I'll answer any other questions you have.

Les, red is by far the best color out there!

Bret
