Default write-up on the 3-1116 ES poly motor mount?

I bought these and heard its not a direct fit and you had to do some modifications to them.Any pics out there or write-up on what to do?
I've tried a search and couldn't find anything.

Thanks
Mark

I just installed the Prothane (PTP-7-512BL) engine mount. This is a direct replacement for the LS1 Fbody engine mount. These are ~$40 (summit) for the pair.

John, could you send me that link as well. I'm going to do this pretty soon and would like a guide. Also how do you like the Prothane mounts?

The Prothane mounts worked great. No problems with the install or fitment.
I bought them as a pair but I only installed the driver’s side and a friend of mine used the other one on his driver’s side. There are no noticeable additional vibrations. Overall the car feels more solid.

The link is four replies above this one.

Sent you mail.

I installed the older style and have no issues. Just use 3 washers to take up the extra space. You will see where you need the washers when you put the main bolt back in. They go in the rear on the driver side and front on the passenger side.

I did both sides (one at a time). For the drivers side I did have to pull the alternator but was able to install with my dynatech headers installed. I recall that side was easier than the passenger side as well <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Yeah, on the driverside I removed the alternator also. And on the passenger side i moved the A/C out of the way.I did both of mine with the headers off because i was changing them out with different ones.

my p/n was ptp-7-508-BL ?? was i set the wrong ones???

the small one looks just like the stock rubber one , but the big one will most likely fill any gaps in the "clamshell", and i don't know if it will fit or not??

should i be worried?
