Valvetrain clatter/noise. That is what is refered to as "sewing machine" noise. Perfectly normal with LTs.

BTW... I have the same setup, and it does the same thing.

Provided all of your connections are tight, more than likely what you are hearing is the exhaust pulses at the bottom of the primary where it meets collector pipe. It's normal...as long as you're sure there are no leaks.

How 'bout the AIR? I had the same ticking noise, so I got the AIR restrictor plates. Ticking noise gone.

Maybe a bent push rod. That will make a ticking noise.

Your'e not alone.. I got the SLP LT's w/ the Y-pipe, no cats, and the EGR mod too, and I still have that tick! No leaks, head bolts nice and tight. Can't imagine what else to do. Pushrods arrow straight as well. Can't hear it inside the car though (pipe's are too loud! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> )
