Default how much coolant
just finished my cam install... how much coolant does my ls1 take? 1 gal coolant 1 gal water sound right?

I think I used more, but I shop vac'd the motor out as well as removed the freeze plugs to fully flush, if you just removed water pump and drained rad, you should be like 1 gal dex, 3/4 water or so.

1 gallon of coolant, then as much water as it will possibly hold is how I do it. My car sees freezing temperatures about 1 times a year, and that's only if I crash into the cooler at Wal-Mart.
