Contact your tuner. Lots of guys run the 2002 z06 MAF. It's 85mm with no screen. You will need to get the adapter harness that Caspers electronics sells, they are a sponsor.

It may not be a factor in this case... but wouldn't A4 guys want one with screens? I don't know, that's why I am asking.

85mm MAF, or go to a SD tune. I would rather do the 85mm MAF myself. I'm not a big fan of the SD tune.

My car ran like *** and was a bitch to get the tune lined out with the MAF on it.

On the other hand, ditching the MAF, and starting over with a factory tune file and going the Speed Density route was almost effortless. 408, 248/254 cam, and FAST 90 setup has near perfect street manners during the ~1000 miles per week I drive it. 20+ mpg to boot.

Even with the weather around here switching from cool and no humidity to hot as **** with tons of humidity, the table needed only minor changes (which my fuel trims would take care of if I turned them back on)

I am running an 85mm Delphi with my NW 90mmTB and FAST 90 intake along with an K&N FIPK, car was retuned recently with the afore mentioned parts and has excellent street manners with a GT1-1(229/242 .631/.631 114CL)and LPE 383 stroker.

You'd want to leave the stock screen in the stock MAF, but a z06 MAF would be fine. There's no way you could bolt an OEM z06 maf into an ls1 f-body and expect it to work right, you're going to need tuning work to compensate. Alot of the granatelli/slp crap is "calibrated" for LS1 f-bodies.

I agree, my car ran better SI with the screen in the stock ends vs. a set of TR MAF ends w/o a screen. My tuner requested that I bring him my car w/ an 85mm SLP MAF - so that is what I bought. ::shrug::

That's because ported MAF ends were an OLD bandaid used before widespread tuning was available. Imagine how rich a LS1 gets with headers and a cam with NO tuning at all... the ported MAF ends threw the calibration way out of wack and ended up leaning the motor out some. Then the MAF Translator came out and saved the day for some of us... for a little while.

Go SD I am, I read on here on another thread that stock Zo6 Maf flows just as well as SD so the way I read into that is get rid of it and save another 5lbs of the front of your motor all adds up you know.

Yeah, I ran a translator for a while, but found the car seemed to respond best to just stock ends w/ the screen. I went 13.20's @ 107 w/ a lid & cut out, LT's & ORY. The same night I unplugged the MAF Translator and went back to my stock ends. 13.00's @ 109+. Radials tires, stock TC, 3.42 gears, untuned. That was proof enough for me, I tried several adjustments w/ the MAFT to no avail. My particular car liked the stock ends & no MAFT best.

My car ran rich untuned w/ LT's, but nothing too bad. I observed 12.6:1 average doing pulls on the street w/ an LM1 hooked up. I switched to TSP duals and my car went dangerously lean vs. the ORY set up. The tune straightened that out, and greatly helped the area under the curve.
