JUST GOT FINISHED SATURDAY PUTTING MY JETHOTS ON onthe driver side of th k member unless you have a tubular k member you will need to grind the lip off of it where the primary touches it on the passenger side you will have to modify the primary where it rest againts the heater case by taking a 2x4 and a hammer and gently tap the primary in allitt to allow for just enough clearance with out ristricting flow. as far as the y pipe when you install it place a 2x4 between the y pipe and floor board before thightening the clamps. good luck i hope this helps you, you will be very satisfied with these headers they rock

by the way after you thighten the clamps remove the 2x4 from the driver side it just to help set the gap between the floor board and y pipe.

I have the real Hooler LT's and I didn't have to grind or dent anything If you have the Real Hooler LT's just follow the directions. Take off the pass side coil pack, the oil diverter plate on the drivers side, and the steering shaft. I tried to get away without taking these off at first, and it was too hard or impossible to install them correctly.

I helped install a set of Jet-Hots last weekend. There was no cutting, denting, or grinding required. They actually went in easier than my Hookers <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

How many of you people that have headers with the Jet Hot coating are seeing surface rust? My Jet Hot coated Hookers went on in late November 02, and the car was put into storage on Dec 12 and hasnt seen the road since, and just yesterday I crawled under my car and I had a good deal of surface rust under there.

Some have said this is perfectly normal and that a little bit of chrome polish will take it off. Well, taking it off, would just leave it to oxidize again.

If this is normal, then I must say I was disappointed, because I always thought that one of the key selling points to the Jet Hot coating is that your headers will look pretty. I didnt realize you had to face a non-stop battle with surface rust.

I know I am not alone, but is there anyone who doesnt have this problem?

i put my Jet hots on about 3 months ago. on the drivers side u need to take off the oil diverter plate. I did not need to take off the steering linkage. take out the plate and they'll slide right in, passenger side went in real easy. might want to take off coilpacks to make tightening the bolts alil easier.
