Default Headers (average hp gain?)

I've recently had 3.73 gears installed (2000 ws6 ram air convertible/auto. trans.), whisper lid, MAF, high flow bellows, performance tuned (Predator), and higher flow muffler/rear pipes installed. My vehicle is a daily driver, so I don't think a hot cam or supercharger is a viable option. The last 2 planned changes are pulley change (8 to 10 hp?), and headers (I haven't decided which ones yet). I know it depends upon brand, etc., but what should one expect the average horsepower gain to be with the installation of headers?

the GT1 headers are guaranteed to give you 24-26hp to the rear wheel. But HP also comes with a price ($1100) for the set. Mine are being installed nest week.

I always thought the QTP/grotts were the best performing headers for the ls1.

If I were looking for max hp from headers I would get some QTP's with the merge collectors.

How bout trying out the new Edelbrock LT's, they are new and I don't want to be the guinnie pig. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> All kidding aside, they do look like they would be pretty good-cheap too.

That is what my mechanic told me. I was shocked! And thats all he does is domestic performance upgrades.

When they get put on, I'll put a post up and let everyone know.
