Spark Plugs and Wires
Hey guys!! My car has just about 62K on it and is still running with the original plugs and wires. So I'm thinking that soon might be a good time to replace them. Exactly what do you guys reccomend for replacement plugs and wires. Just go with stock GM parts?? I've heard good and bad things about the Bosch Platnum plugs. What about the wires?? Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Re: Spark Plugs and Wires
I run the Bosch Platinum +4s and previously ran the NGK TR55s. I noticed NO improvement or deprovment (is that even a word) from the NGK plugs. The Bosch plugs are a platinum dipped plug as opposed to a regular plug with a platinum disc like the AC Delco plugs are. Some people have reported some pinging problems with platinum plugs, but I think those situations are few and far between. I would highly recommend them if you want to get a long life out of your plugs and don't plan on changing them every 20k or so miles. NGK's seem to be the favorites for N/A engines though.
As for the wires. Most people have never had a problem with the stock GM ones. I ended up switching to the Taylor Spiro-Pro's because they were red, and have had them on for about 15k miles and haven't had any problems.
In all honest, for a stock bottom end, N/A LS1, the stock GM wires are fine, unless you're looking for colored wires then maybe go with the Taylors. Im sure theres plenty other wire sets out there that are just as good.
