Are the NGK Iridium plugs that much better than Platinum? Are the worth the $$. Will you really notice any difference? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Re: DENSO IRIDIUM PLUGS
Denso's iridiums are the best spark plugs you can buy. There about $10 a peice, but are excellent, you can run them with Nitrous or Superchargers/Turbos.

Re: DENSO IRIDIUM PLUGS
Supposedly they give the conductivity/power of a copper plug while lasting as long as a platinum plug. A Mustang mag did a test on them and did gain some HP, quite a bit actually. The test was a best case scenario for the plugs though- a blown motor with lots of cylinder pressure.
I'm a bit leary of power gains on a stock LS1 over copper plugs though. I used to road race production bikes. I the production classes you can't do alot of stuff to the motor. I tried almost every widget know to man within the rules. Split Fires, platinum plugs, timing advancers, advancing and retarding the cams, drop-in K&N filters, heck I even tried Slick 50. Every change was tested on a dyno, the only widget that worked was-20W Redline oil. Picked up 2-3 HP over 10W40 Motul. That's it. Widgets suck!
If I see some tests were they actually give power in a normal scenerio-then and only then will I pay 10 bucks a plug. One dollar copper plugs work just fine for me, just have to change them more often. Perpetually Cautious, but willing to change my mind!
