Default Kooks 1-7/8" -> 2" Header Fitment?

So for anyone that has a set of these babies, how is the fitment on them? I heard it is really tight with the really big primaries but never saw anyone on here post about it. I am considering getting a set for my new motor this summer. Thanks!

My buddy with a large ci motor (400+ ci) just installed a set of 1 7/8" stepped to 2" headers. He said the fitment was extremely tight, but they did fit.

I've seen several posts complaining about bad fitment, and having to do some serious tweaking to get them in.

I had a set a while back. The installed perfect and clearances were great. Steering shaft needed to be loose for install but otherwise cleared fine.

I do have a PA Racing tubular K-member though, so your mileage may vary.

They really don't fit on a stock k-member without a LOT of grinding and notching so i decided to go with the BMR k-member. I am in the process of installing the k-member, but i will post up when i'm finished about the fitment of the headers. The steering shaft will definitely need to be loosened, i can already tell
