Default electric water pump

Does anyone run the Meziere electric water pump? Is it a direct bolt-on now? What kind of gains could I expect? It's rated to last 2500 hours. Is it reliable enough for the street?
Thanks, Jeff

Meziere is supposed to be coming out with a "bolt-on" pump sometime soon. It will retain the heater hose connection, use a thermostat, and have a tensioner or idler pulley on it so you can still use all the belt driven accessories.

The Meziere "race" pump uses no thermostat, there is no provision to retain the heater, and you have to do some custom fabbing for whatever belt driven accessories you still have. All I have is an alternator, so it wasn't much of an issue for me...
