Default what spark plug should i use(heat range)?

what plug for 10.8 to 1 compression and 125 shot dry. i get a little pinging on real hot days and was told a colder plug in the summer might help. Is there any truth to this? I currently use tr6 gapped at.035. Please help me out guys.

I would think a TR6 at that gap would almost be ideal for your setup. If you're still getting ping, you can go to a step colder or maybe back the timing off 1-2*.

thanks . I did pull timing and it worked but today it got hotter and was back? will the colder plug help on the hotter days or do need octane to compensate for the ethonal blend (crap) gas

The 10% ethanol crap we have here in DFW will make you run leaner, so that may be your issue. If you can't run a higher octane, then you might have to retard the timing even more.
