What do you use to seal a slip fit header?
It seems most of the new headers out use a slip fit connection at the collector. What do you guys/gals running these headers use to seal the collector to the y-pipe?
Does anyone use Torctite preformed clamps like below? I never had a problem with them leaking on my FLP y-pipe.

Just wondering <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Maybe to weld a flange on. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> I've got a little wire feeder if it came to that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I use those clamps and have never had a leak problem. One tipI will give you is to take ~1' of aluminum foil and fold it to the width of the clamp, wrap it on your pipe centering it where they meet. Then, tighten the **** outta the clamp. No leaks.

I used those band clamps with my Hooker lt's and ypipe. I also used some hi-temp (red)sealant just for good measure. No leaks, no problems!

Thanks for the tips.
Sounds like these are the ticket. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Anyone have a good source for these things? Sponsors?
Thanks
