Default FRA and intake

yet another stupid question probably but hey.. that's why they have these forums right? lol for those of us NOT mechanically inclined.. i'm so thankful for everyone on this site!!
my question is: i recently purchased the cai from slp and sadly it still hasn't arrived.. but i was reading on installuniversity.com about the fasttoysramair and it really got my attention.. but i'm a little confused about a couple things becuz i was FIXIN to do the free ram air mod also.. so is the slp CAI and the fasttoysramair the same basic thing? just a different setup? cuz i just read a post where someone asked which he should get between the 2.. also if i stick with the slp CAI should i still do the free ram air mod?? thank you so much for helping!

the free ram air and cai do the same thing just the cai has a scoop that goes down into the air damn area instead of it just being a hole that catches up top.

You have to do the "free ram air mod" for the SLP CAI, as it slides down in that hole you would create. SSRA and FTRA work the same way.

blur got it. your have to do the free air mod with the cold air intake, and it is almost the same as the SSfa but not as low, I like mine, actually it is the only SLP part I would recommend, it is nice fit and well made.
