Get it. You'll love it. It was an easy install and I really feel a SOTP difference. I'm thinking about getting the track version now for the dragstrip.

It is good. Watch out when you pull up to curbs though. Mine broke because it is plastic and i hit the curb with it. Other than that i saw at least a tenth drop off my .25 mile time. Good luck and here a tip. Use some atv sealant around the piece that shoots up into the filter. It will create more of a clean look and keep dirt out better.

SSRA scoops lower than the SLP, and its made of thick plastic and doesnt conduct heat, unlike the FTRA which is made of steal, i love mine, i think i got great results from it.

Sometimes, the local track's staff will have one laying around... they'll give ya the best deals!
Oh, I've gotta stop posting that pic. It's gonna get me in trouble.
I still use my SSRA. It's rather durable also.

i have the slp version, with the front of the air lid blocked off. Has anyone seen any differences in it as compared to an ss hood. As far as i've heard, the ss hood(functional) is pointless. If i get an SS hood, should i unblock the front airlid or just let it be and just use the hood for looks?

Well the creator of SSRA(Al) found 13 rwhp gain on his ss with his SSRA on top of his SS hood with 60 mph airflow, i asked him if blocking off the air lid initial intake part made that much of a difference he didnt know really, he blocked it off on his, btw, nice rear bumper , I talk to your brother on aim all the time alex hehe, the SS hood is mainly for looks yes, i currently dont have my air lid blocked.

I couldn't say which is better, one or the other. I know a lot weights on what the air velocity is, what angle it comes in at, and how long the air is held for. For instance, roadracing would benefit from the constant draw of cool dense air at 120+mph. Maybe you could say that about any CAI kit.
