You can't keep the stock ypipe with any LT header. For the best header check out QTP--->

Hookers are a nice alternative for a pretty good price too. The SLPs aren't cheap nor are they the best.

Just an opinion.

Might want to do a search on the fitment issues with the SLP headers, as well as clearance issues. Seems to me people tend to prefer the Hookers for price/quality purposes. Might want to check into that new sponsor Kooks too.

Buy the hooker headers! I have mine on the shelf and will be installing them soon. They were cheap and I heard they sound good too! I can't wait to get them installed!!

If price is not an issue, many ppl that can afford it are going with FLP's. Take a look, their headers are sexy looking!

Another vote for Hooker. But truthfully, there are alot of good ones made. The price makes Hooker look even better, though.

I think the Hooker LT is cheaper LT's, i have hooker LT on my car before i install it my car was run at 1/4 110 MPH after install it i run at 1/4 114 MPH, i won from the hooker LT at 1/4 4 MPH, this result without any tuning on PCM.

Note: Headers LT's on stock internal need a tuning (LS1edit) to worth better flow.

If your car is lowered, or you plan on lowering it in the future, definately get the Hookers! Awesome fitment and clearence.

If you are not going to be lowered... Get the Hookers anyway! Just look at those spaghetti (sp?) bends on the SLPs!

ClassicCollector, Did you get the cutout cap ok?

ORY, or Off-Road Y-pipe has no cats. The Hooker ORY is not a bad y-pipe. I ws running it before the true duals and it performed just fine. My car is lowered with Eibach Pro-kit springs and the clearence issue was not that bad. You just have to be a little more aware of where you're driving, and take speed bumps slowly.

What opions do you have if you want to run the Hookers & still have cats since they don't offer a cat & y-pipe setup already?

Thanks.

If you want Hooker LT and Cats, you will need a custom Y-pipe fabricated.

Here is what the underside looks like on my car with the Hooker headers and ORY pipe. You may have clearence issues if you try to weld up the stock cats to these, since they will be under the car and not tucked up next to the engine like with the stock manifolds.

IF you don't have emission testing in your state, just order the Hooker LTs and the Hooker ORY. Put the headers then drive it to an exhaust shop and have them weld up the ORY pipe for you and be done with it (unless you can weld yourself, in which case it will be even easier). If you do have emission testing, you will need a set of high flow cats (or the stockers), and have the stuff custom done for you.

I'd recommend Random Technology Cats if you want high-flow cats. They're like 120 bucks through a few of the sponsers.

Lots of people complain about some rasp issues w/ a ORY, but i think that was mainly w/ a bullet muffler or Loud Mouth exhaust.

My vote is for the hookers tho, just make sure ya do a good Y pipe. Mufflex might be able to help...www.mufflex-performance.com

The only way you will be able to use the stock Y-pipe with the Hooker LTs is to have a shop custom fab you something. They won't bolt right up. Are you planning on running high flow cats or no cats? If you are going the no-cats route, you may want to consider the Hooker ORY pipe.
