EGR Removal????
I purchased a set of extuded honed and ported 2001
manifolds. To put on a 2000 LS1 camaro.. The 2000 manifolds has a EGR tube on the right manifold that goes to the pump and then into the intake behind the T/B.. The 2001 has the boss for the tube but is not drilled.. Can I eliminate the EGR
tube and pump or do I have to drill and tap the right manifold??? What about the wires going to the EGR pump?? <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks and God Bless <img border="0" alt="[USA]" title="" src="graemlins/patriot.gif" /> , John

Re: EGR Removal????
If you remove the EGR you have to block off the LS1 intake manifold.
It will set a code but I don't recall it affecting performance.
I just tucked the wires up and away and it's never been a problem in the last few years.
