spark plugs
Hi guys, I am wondering if anyone could tell me if the NGK plugs are really that much better than my stock Delco platinums. I have no internal engine mods. (major), just better airflow in and better exhaust out. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

...or unless some of your platinum pucks have started falling off, leaving your plug gap at an outrageously wide .070...which they probably have.

Re: spark plugs
lots of people will tell you that the stock plugs just plain suck. I'm changing mine and I only have 14k miles on my car, because I've seen pics of the stock plugs when they come out.

scroll to the bottom and take a look at those plugs. Problem is the plugs will only last you ~15k. Iridium's will last much longer, but they cost a lot more. I'd get some NGK iridium plugs, some MSD wires, and change em'. Its not the easiest thing to do the first time. The only way you'll know what the plugs look like is by pulling them and then you might as well replace them anyway.

Re: spark plugs
Are you sure your plugs are Delco Platinums? Mine came with Denso plugs... Not sure if they're better or worse, but that's what it came with. (I'm the only owner of the car since it was built, and just changed the plugs today at 30,000 miles.) At least all of the "pucks" were still there!
