cold air kits
Yo i know this subject is old but people are telling me to get the fast toys ram air and not the super sucker. Why? Don't people that the super sucker has an actual scoop that brings air to the filter and the FTRA is just a piece metal under the car and turns into a scoop behind the radiator.
Can anybody help me with this. Does anybody have power gains of the two. Also the super sucker is plastic (no heat soak), does that count for anything.
Quick help have phone in my hands <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I was running 13.2's. When I broke into the 12's with it I turned a 12.96. I bought mine for for $199 on a GP that Stealth was running. I think they are regularly $219. Maybe you can get a GP going.

Re: cold air kits
i have the FTRA on my 98 Z28. it was a bitch to install by myself, but it helped me run 13.11 at 105.67 with the other mods i've done to my car. i ran this time spinning extremely bad on street tires and had a 2.12 60 foot. the track was extremely slick and everybody was having major traction problems that day.

Get the Supersucker. This finally got me into the 12's. It's not a pain in the *** to install like the FTRA, only 5 minutes if you've already done the FRA mod. It doesn't lay in front of the radiator like the ftra. Also, I've never hit a thing with mine.
