Default MAC header question...

What are the differences between their midlengths for a 99 and an 01? I've got an 01 T/A and have an opp for a set of 99 headers...what would I need to do to fit them up?

You would need the A.I.R tubes off of a 98-99 (or bend yours) and a block off plate for the EGR flange on the headers.

I'm sure the reason you are not familiar with the EGR on your '01 car, is because you don't have it. Therefore, you would need an EGR block off plate (which you can find from any of the reputable sponsors to the right). The block off plate will just close off that part of the header.

OK...assume that I don't have my car to go look at (I don't...its in NC, waiting out the winter!) and I'm not totally familiar with the EGR system on the 01s...

Thanks for the help...but I'd love to see a pic of the 2 different systems (and the MAC site isn't much help at all...)...that would fix my problem!

So the EGR block off plate is all I need? I won't need to cut and weld any tubes or anything...its just cover that EGR tube?

This is looking better and better...

thx-

Well you still have to deal with the AIR tubes like minivette suggested. Most people just buy a set off of an '98-'99 since they would be dirt cheap. Or you can just get rid of the AIR syster all together.

I just blocked them all off on mine and ditched the air pump. I'll be running an ORY so there is no need for the air pump.
