Default Installed New Muffs on the True Duals!

A few months back I had true duals installed on my t/a via x-pipe with bullet mufflers. It sounded badass but around 1700 RPM I was getting this funky drone (would sounded kinda like a ricer fart pipe for a split second) that was bothersome and the drone I was getting in 6th gear made it virtually imposible to cruise in 6th (had to be going over 80 mph for it to sound right). Not to mention the noticeable lowend torque that was lost with that setup.

Well, today I had some Moroso Spiral Flow Mufflers installed in place of the bullets. At first I was a little worried about the way it was going to sound, but after we fired it up... it sounded even better! It still has that deep, "throaty" sound, and the fartpipe sound at 1700 RPM is gone. So is the 6th gear drone! And the lowend torque... Lets just say Although that could all be in my mind.

I highly recomend these mufflers to those doing true duals in the future.

...Today was a good day!

I appologize for the excessive use of smilies.

What was the cost on those. I am going dual in about a month and am debating the different muffler options.

How's the volume level with those muffs? What size piping are you using? Are you dumping before the axle? I've been wanting to run duals, but I enjoy music and coversation too much to have an exhaust that takes over both. If not duals, I'll probably go with the 4" Mufflex with no tips.

The noise at cruising speed is definately quieter. But don't get me wrong, they're still loud, just not as loud as the bullets were. I wouldn't say they are over-bearing though. You can still hold a conversation and hear the radio. You just might have to turn it up a bit.

The Dynomax Bullets were like $87 shipped for 2, through Jegs.

The Moroso Spiral Flows were $101 shipped for 2, also through Jegs. ...and worth every penny!
