Header clearance due to springs
Hey guys! Hope you can give me some help. I put some Eibach pro-kit (1.25in drop) springs on my car and i dont want to take them off. I want to get headers to go along with and complete my exhaust system. I've heard that if you lower your car, you can't get long tube headers because they will scrape on everything. Is this true or does the cat scrape? I cant take them off bc they are really strict with emissions in St.Louis. Should i just say to hell with the headers or get shorties? Need help please!!! Thanks

First, you will have no problems with scraping. I have the same springs and LT's and have no problems. Second, you should have no problems passing emisisons with just LT's unless you plan on removing cats, etc.

Re: Header clearance due to springs
Thanks for the input! I think i will just go ahead and get the longtubes. Now, which brand would you recommend? Hooker, Edelbrock, SLP, FLP, etc. I have also heard that the headers will rust if you dont get a like ceramic coating on them. Is this true? How much will that cost? Thanks again!!! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Re: Header clearance due to springs
Do you happen to have a website for those headers? Do they include a y-pipe with converters or do i have to maintain the stock y? Does anyone know where i can find a good catalytic y-pipe? Thanks again
