Default Does removing this tape effect anything?

I had a set of fuel rail covers installed a while back and when i went to remove them I noticed that this fuel wrap tape was gone. I have been running the car a while now do you think I should re-wrap these lines one more time, or does it really make a difference in the temp? I stole this pic from the boards here to show you guys what im talking about....

thanks, and if the owner of the pic does not want it up i will remove it!!

Considering those are fuel lines, I would definetely want that heat tape there, as for whether or not you absoloutely need it. I don't know

It wont hurt anything most likely. It is a heatshield for the line though.

I don't see how having that one section taped off is going to help. It has always looked to me like it would get just as hot on the manifold side where it is not taped. Almost like putting a band aid on a broken leg.

Most autoparts stores carry heat shielding tape/wraps of some sort.
