Default True duals on a F-Body

How are true duals situated under the car? It seems like there's no room for it to mount up. Can you buy it as a kit or is it all custom tubing? A friend of mine has an X-pipe on his Z28 but I have never really looked at it, but it's all custom tubing.

There is actually quite a bit of room if you use 2.5" pipe. Some people do 3" pipe but it gives up ground clearance and things can get tight (still not a problem...just every little bit counts on lowered cars).

In truth, all true dual setups are custome (even if you buy them from someone). So far (sadly), there are not any companies (ie: Hooker, Flowmaster, etc...) making them.

If you go to true duals, make sure to run them all the way out the rear by going under the axle tube (can't go over...no room <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> ).

there is one company selling a true dual setup from LT on back to the bumper. It's 1200, I'll find the site and post it on here. They use 2.5" and I think there is an upgrade u can get for 3". They take it out the stock location, tight but it works. They other website that was posted on here they do a 3", one pipe on each side of the car, all the way out the back. He charges about the same as above. The way he does it is he relocates the Panhard Bar Bracket 1" lower than stock, then he's able to run a pipe on the drivers side. If u ask me 1200 is WAY too much for a setup like this, yet it does sound very good. I'm sure if U hunt around town u can find someone that can do it for cheaper. Just checkout that website, print some pics and take it in the shop to show them.

Found the website, www.LS1speed.com

I just seen ur from DFW area, that guy that I was talking about is from amareto, I think. check out his site.

One pipe over the drivers side axle and on over the passenger side. Mine is 3 in to the axle and 2. in. over the axle and out the back. I think that if you look at www.laneswheels.com, same website as posted above, which is where I had mine done.. there are some pictures/videos of TD's over the axle.
