Default emission question

I am getting ready to swop exhaust manifolds for mac headers on my 00 SS and I have the egr valve and the other thing attached to the pass side manifold Is there any way to get rid of that system so I dont have to spend more money to get the retro fit system, I dont care about emission laws because I live in FL any help will be appreciated thanks

Just rip all that stuff out. Take out all the hoses and pumps and if your Macs have a port for them like mine did you'll have to purchase block off plates. SpeedInc sells the block offs for the headers and the one for the manifold. Very cheap. Like 13 bucks or somethin for all three. Then if you have LS1edit you go in there and turn off everything that has to do with your emissions so you dont set your SES light. It gets a lot of crap out of your engine compartment.

What about the egr valve in the intake manifold?
