Default hooker cat back or flowmaster american thunder

ok guys i have heard sound clips of both systems. they both sound good but i am looking for the best flowing one for the most possible gains. i have the ls1 hotcam and want to know which system sounds the best.i am looking for the classic v8 heavytone rumble. i will be doing ORYP and hooker LT's in the near future also. i have a 80 series crossflow and its not loud enough please help out a fellow ls1 freak

There is no competition between the Hooker and the Flowmaster catbacks. The Hooker wins hands down everytime from every aspect.

hahaha, the flowmaster prolly flows worse than your factory muffler.....it also prolly has the 2.5(i think) intake on the inlet to the muffler....get the hooker aero chamber and reep the benefits of a good flowing, good sounding muffler for a reasonable price!

Hooker all the way! Flowbuster sounds like *** IMHO. I had a flowmaster on my car for about 2 months before I took it off. Sounded like tin cans bouncing inside of it. With LTs and an ORYP the Hooker setup sounds mean. (but not as mean as true duals )

I say Hooker man....I currently have a flowmaster but I wanted to change the Flowmaster because I have heard it sucks in terms of flow...so I just got me a CUTOUT and man hold up......Love it...

Flowmaster + cutout in the I pipe =loud and throaty........excellent flow now that I have the cutout.....pretty soon I'm gonna delete the high flow cats...and add 02 simms!!!!!

I bought the Hooker because I liked it best. Being the cheapest was just a nice bonus...

Here's one with an ATI supercharger providing some extra noise. This is stock exhaust manifold with factory cats and y-pipe.

The hooker may be cheap, but that doesn't mean it sounds bad, or is cheaply made. Personally 700+ dollars for a cat-back is rediculous. 279 + TR224 cam can be had for that. IMO the hooker sounds better than borla anyways.

The borla sounds great, but those tips look like ***.
