Default FAST intake question

I've been reading about this intake and found contradicting comments about it. I was planning on getting the FAST 78mm intake instead of the 90mm intake because I dont plan on having over 600 hp. Is this correct? I have heard there is no point getting the 90mm unless your going to have over 600 hp. I also heard you can use your stock throttle body unless once again going over 600 hp.

thanks.
p.s....I also have a trex cam (not listed in sig).

That is all false.

Adding a FAST 90 intake + 90 tb, would give you good gains. You just have to ask yourself is it worth $1000 for the power you want. It will suit your trex cam well, and will yield even more power with heads.

dont know where you heard that from but its wrong...a 90/90 setup is a good idea for a cam or a heads/cam setup, but if you go with the 90mm Intake, get the Nick Williams 90mm TB. I know some people running the 78mm FAST but if you have any plans for future mods it isnt cost effective...go with the 90mm. I would focus on heads as a next step.

The 90/90 will complement the trex cam greatly, especially is you ever get heads. Dont even waste the money on the 78mm FAST

Ported TB/LS6 manifold is the way to go untill you step up to h/c or *****-out cam'd car. Without heads the gains could be minimal, and you might even loose some low-end. If you're itching for it, go for the 90/90. I can't believe they actually came out with the 78mm, maby if it was as much as an LS6, but it's about 2x the price lol.

Don't get a 90mm fast throttle body. Get the NW or MTI or something but not the fast. I had one and it was nothing but trouble. The intake is nice though.

I'm very pleased with my 90 setup.
