Default anyone who knows about o2 extensions and o2 simms?

ok i have custom longtubes on my 96 3.8 v6 camaro. i need o2 extensions, the style connector thats on my headers is the flat style not the little box style. will the extensions that are supposed to be for the v8 work on my v6 as long as the connector is the same? or is there something different in the wiring that would mess with my computer and throw a ses light? do you have to use extensions that are the same length or can one be 12" and the other be 24"? will the o2 simm that says for 97+ fbodys work on my 96? please help thanks

not sure about retrofitting o2's, but i do know that the length of the extension doesn't really matter as long as it's not tooooo long. the wiring should carry enough current to not make 24" a factor. i've heard of guys splicing some extra length in their existing wires.
