gas smell on air filter and mass air? I'm taking my car into the dealer tomorrow for some work so I put the stock mass air back on and air filter. Both smell like gas? My car for the last week has been running very weak at times. Yesterday It had no topend rush? Any idea's? Gas mileage sucks to at 13-18. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Re: gas smell on air filter and mass air? Nobody ever has any answers or ideas whenever I have problems with a my cars wether it's my LS1 or my 5.0 stang on mustangs forums.

Re: gas smell on air filter and mass air? Stopped up cats will give the symptoms you describe, usually gets progressively worse. Running excessively rich will kill cats.

Re: gas smell on air filter and mass air? My A/F at WOT is 11-11.5 varies between those two when car was dynoed. Also my car has a burnt smell to it every time I turn the car off and a power lose. Taking car into dealer tomorrow for some work I will mention this to them.
