any other way to remove p/s pulley

Default any other way to remove p/s pulley

ive got the jaw pullers and it just wont give. so i even tried grabbing on the outside and the pulley just cracks. is there any other way to remove this damn pulley. ill even cut it off with a grinder maybe

the power steering pulley could be taken off with a hydraulic press if you dont want to cut it off...good luck

the pulley is already cracked. so i cant use it anymore. and ive had this turn one pulley for awhile that i never installed. how can i use a hydrualic press on this

just goto auto zone and rent a puller. Take it back and they'll give you your money back when you're done.

There's an actual tool, about the size/shape of a socket with a threaded inside that a bolt goes through. You loosen the bolt almost all the way out of the threads and one side of the socket-shaped piece has something that looks like a c-clip that fits over the small lip of the pulley (not the part that holds the belt, the innermost part that fits over the rod part... you'll see what I'm talking about). Once it's on, you just tighten the bolt, which then pushes forward into the rod part, thus pulling the pulley off of the rod.
