Default Long Tube guys Inside.....

A couple of problems have come up after my TTS install. Did any of you guys experience any difficulty in turning the steering to the right after you got on it real hard. Mine seems to be acting up. What I thought it was, was the steering shaft rubbing on the header tube. But the motor torques away from the shaft. I will have to inspect the header tube closely to see if that is it somehow.

Now after all my new found power with the 224 cam and Long tubes, I think I broke the tranny mount. On my way home from my second cruise with the headers, I got on it and the thing wheel hopped and banged the floor board real HARD! It has to be my tranny mount. Is that what you guys think. I jumped on it fron a 40 mph roll and it banged slightly again.

Anyways to be safe, I ordered onw from Thunder. Is it true that our mounts fit all camaros??

Thanks guys

The headers don't come close to the steering shaft, you need to look more closely, give us some more info.

I will have to get a pic. But the lower knuckle on the steering shaft has indeed been rubbing the number 3 cylinder header pipe. The edge of the knuckle is scratched up and the pipe is as well Could they have sent me the wrong headers for my 01???

What should I do?

OK the curiosity was getting to me so I just went out and checked mine. The #1 cylinder clears the lower knuckle by more than 1/2 inch and the upper knuckle clears the #3 cylinder by more than an inch. It would seem that there is definitely somthing wrong - I would call TTS in the morning.
