ASP pulley wont work with "Double Roller Timing Chain"?
i have an ASP underdrive pulley
someone told me it has to be machined to work with a dual timing chain (???)
and that if i get a monster cam (i will)
i will need this double chain.
do you guys know what he is talking about?
do i return the pulley?
do i have it installed for $75?
can i "machine" it myself? (should i?)
do i send it back and have ASP machine it?

the older ASP pullies, the "snout" is cut to fit the double roller. If you have a lathe, you could take some material off. But if you have a newer one, then it will go on just fine

Depending how old your pulley is, it may need to be machined. But if you recently bought it, it should be the newer version - then your fine.
Find out first which pulley you have then go from there.

A double roller is a good idea, definitlely the safest way to go. However it is not needed, the ls2 chain is a lot beffier chain then the stocker and will work perfect. Its also only 25 bucks or something like that...I am runnin one as well. But definitely switch chains cause the stocker has been known to fail, however its not common for that to happen.
