Default Will true duals still have rasp without cats?

My friend has a 96 cobra and with stock manifolds, orx and loudmouth it sounded like absolute ***. With cats, the rasp is gone and it sounds great. I was going to run the tsp true duals system with my qtp longtubes and no cats, but now i'm worried. Was his rasp probelm specific to cobra's or loudmouth's? I don't really want to have to buy cats too. I thought an x-pipe was suppose to hgelp control rasp???

thanks for any help

TSP duals won't have rasp, with the bullets at least.

I've never heard of a Ford sounding bad, especially a 4-valve Cobra!

Yea it was awful. I think the sound of mustangs are overrated... Prior to the loudmouth he had an slp orx with flowmaster exhaust and it sounded perfect imo. Maybe everyone thinks 4 valves can't sound bad because most stang owners run a flowmaster exhaust and have true duals stock. Anyway, thanks guys, sounds like I won't be running cats for now!

Any reason the spiral flows would be more raspy than the bullets?

They will be a little more refined than the bullets, as well as quieter. Still loud as hell though.

Is the rasp due to unequal length y-pipes? So if that's true, no, TD's would not rasp. They'd sounds badass.

I have rasp only when my cut-outs are open. Other than that it is really loud and clean.

My TSP TDs don't rasp a bit.

I do have a few friends with 4v 4.6 Cobras, both with off-road X pipes and the SLP Loudmouth... they are the raspiest, most painfully loud cars on the planet.
