Default Torque specs for starter motor bolts

Does anybody know the torque specs for the bolts that hold on the stater motor?

I don't have those, but the AC bracket, PS bracket and engine mount are 37ft/lbs, so logic tells me going into the block would be 37ft/lbs and you'd be fine.

On LS1Howto are they calling the starter the generator? If so, 37ft/lbs like I said.

Generator would be the alternator. 37 ft-lbs sounds good to me. I just put stuff like that on "tight-enough".

tight enough has never failed me. I only tq to spec rockers, head bolts, and the crank bolt for the most part.

Actually, that's the first place I looked. But I didn't see the starter listed.

So, I think I'll go with 37 unless somebody finds something more specific. Thanks.

Ich verstehe nur ein paar Wörter auf Deutsch. Und Ich spreche sehr schlecht.

Just some of the important stuff like: "Ich möchte ein groß Bier, bitte."

I just happened to stumble across the torque specs for the starter bolts last night. Guess what. GM calls for 37 ft-lbs.

Not that it matters since that’s what I used when I put things together last week but I thought you might like might like to know that you were right on.

37 and 22 ft-lbs are the magic numbers for these cars, 98% of the bolts are one of those two.
